Lee’s work, titled “XOXO”, rises to 25 feet in height and houses a Christmas tree structure inside of a shimmering chrome framework. At night, the colorful lights reflect on the metal surfaces, conveying a bright holiday spirit and inspiring a sense of community as onlookers gather around. Lee’s message sums it up best:

Christmas is not just about gifts or commercial holiday campaigns. A minimalist tree can glow and emit warmth of the intangible kind. In these careworn times, viewers can partake in fulfilling my vision of the holidays by “decorating” and “beautifying” the unadorned tree with hugs and kisses to their loved ones because, after all, the best things in life are free.
